About Free Delivery & Setup in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio

Benefit from our complimentary delivery and setup services.

    • When Will My Outdoor Storage Shed Be Delivered?

      • Once our main office authorizes your purchase, we generally deliver within five to ten business days for barns sitting on a dealer's sales location. For build orders it is usually three to four weeks -- but in either case, unforeseen circumstances (like weather, ground conditions, or seasonal demand) might occasionally impact these timelines.

    • What Will My Delivery Expenses Be?

      • For distances less than 50 miles from the dealer's location, delivery and setup are complimentary. Beyond the 50-mile radius, a mileage fee is applicable based on current fuel rates.

    • Where Can My Wooden Shed or Storage Barn Be Installed?

      • To deliver and set up, your site must be accessible. Your dealer can share more information. If you're opting for rent-to-own, access to sites cannot be through properties not owned by the renter of the structure. We strongly advise against erecting barns directly under power lines as it is prohibited in many locations. If the barn is rent-to-own, we reserve the right to not place it under a power line.

    • What Site Preparation is Required for My Outdoor Storage Shed?

      • If the site is not more than three feet out of level in any direction, no site prep is required. If the site is within one foot out of level in any direction, we provide wood leveling blocks free of cost. If the site is more than one foot out of level in any direction, customer-provided concrete blocks are required.

Concrete blocks will be installed free of charge to the point where the barn is level. Additional layers of concrete blocking above the point of level incur an extra charge of $150 per layer.

Clearing tree limbs, debris, fencing, or any other barriers that could obstruct the delivery of a barn prior to the delivery attempt is solely the customer's responsibility. Fees may apply for unsuccessful delivery attempts due to obstacles not being removed.

    • Who Is Accountable for Damages Resulting from a Delivery or Delivery Attempt?

      • Neither Prairie Built Barns nor our affiliates are liable for damages to above-ground or underground structures that may result from a delivery or delivery attempt. The customer is solely responsible for assessing ground conditions and suitability before delivery. Fees may apply if a delivery cannot be completed.

    Permits & Licenses

Ensure your new structure complies with local regulations by understanding permits and licensing requirements.

    • What Legal Permits and Licenses are Required to Purchase a Midwest Barn Structure?

      • The requirements vary from one location to another or from one state to another. Although many places do not require permits and licensing, others do. It is solely our customer's responsibility to get in touch with their local authorities, learn about the necessary permits and/or licenses, and obtain them.
